As I was checking my daily news feeds and surfing the net, I came upon an article labeled as New fashion trend ‘double jeans’. Being a fashionista, it was a must read for me.
The article is about a sagging pair of denim jean pants. The uniqueness of the jeans is that you can wear the sagging jeans look, without showing your underpants. These jeans are double torso and derriere, so it appears that you have your sag-on.
These sagging jeans, are marketed as ‘high waist double-back’ and not by the popular term sag. - that’s peculiar because that style of jeans is a signa of the urban market’s fashionable style in clothing.
The ‘high waist double-back’ jeans were created by a ‘high-end’ Fashion House brand located in London. The fashion house’s jeans bear a striking similarity to the urban SagWear ® brand denim jeans created by a fashion designer back in the 1990's named James Head of Headworks Designs.
The jeans created by the London based designer, Natasha Zinko are sold out for $695 on a website. That's at about a 1000% markup for what James Head sold his jeans for and he debuted his trendy-line as a trailblazer in the fashion arena.
The first recorded jeans with sag was created in 1990 by fashion designer James Head of Headworks Designs. James broadcasted his 21st century, expressionistic hip-hop denim line to the masses in 1998 shortly after receiving its patented dated March 7.
Sagwear jeans stocked the racks of stores like Macys, Dillard’s and JCPenney's, featured in the California Apparel News, Hip-Hop Magazine and is the off-spring of the balloon pants worn by west coast legendary rapper, dance- performer, MC Hammer of the popular get up and dance song, "U can't touch this."
James Head's balloon pants are infamously known today as "Hammer Pants" and his SagWear ® jeans’ patented resides in the national registrar.
